Cropping removes pixels outside the selected area, so the result has smaller pixel dimensions. JPG export uses a lossy High, Medium, or Low quality preset, while PNG is the better choice when you need transparency
PNG export keeps transparent pixels. JPG cannot store transparency, so transparent areas receive a white background
No. The source image, full file name, preview, crop coordinates, and exported image remain on this device and are not uploaded for processing
Sources are limited to 16,384px per side and 40 million pixels, with exports limited to 8,192px and 32 million pixels. Animated images are not supported, and capture time, location, color profiles, and other metadata are not copied
